This tour was focussed on Christian History in Ephesus. You will be met by your private tour guide at harbor or hotel and start to excellent tour.You will visit Ephesus, one of the greatest Greco-Roman cities of the ancient world. We will help you explore the Temples of Hadrian and Domitian, Hercules gate, the famous Celsus Library, the Great Theater and other Greco-Roman sites. We will also visit the hallowed House of the Virgin Mary, where the mother of Jesus is believed to have spent her final years, a site Pope Benedict XVI proclaimed sacred on November 29th, 2006. You will then have the opportunity to taste traditional Turkish foods that are both healthy and delicious. Last but not least you’ll experience the Basilica of St. John; a great church constructed by Emperor Justinian in the 6th century atop the believed burial site of St. John the Apostle, author of the Fourth Gospel and the Book of Revelation. After the tour, we will take you back to Kusadasi port or hotel.
